The Omniscient - Chapter 8: Case Closed

Still not satisfied with the grammar, but I believe this is a limitation of my current ability. The blogger theme I'm using does this thing where it accents the first line of a post, but only for chrome (and probable edge). This kinda screws up the formatting in firefox. Therefore, I'll be putting whatever random text up here until/if I find a solution.

The Omniscient - Chapter 7: Strange Technique

Thank you for the grammar feedback Dalek (Dr. Who reference?)! I appreciate it a lot. English is my first language so there's no need to hold back on me. Yes, asking if your skin is itching is a metaphor for saying you're asking for a beating. I thought it translated pretty well into English. To me it even sounds like something that might be said in English.

The Omniscient - Chapter 4: Humanity's Greatest Merit in the Universe

Knowledge is a burden.           Even when his intelligence was being suppressed by the stars, Huang Ji never thought of it as much of a predicament. Strengthening his body allowed him to block out unknown information while acquiring knowledge could help him unlock and decipher that unknown information. This allowed him to understand the information and then also block it out. As long as there was a solution, he could go about solving the problem, it was merely a matter of hard work.           For Huang Ji, the real problem wasn't anything like having his intelligence suppressed by the stars. The true source of his worries originated from the most terrifying planetary object in the sky, the Moon. More accurately, a group of aliens living on the Moon! They were very few in number. Last week when he had checked there were only two, now there were four of them.  They were there to monitor Earth, this wasn't hard for Huang Ji to figure out. The moon had a piece of information that

The Omniscient - Chapter 3: Pressure from the Stars

"Get some rest Grandpa."           "Dr. Liang is such an amazing person, how could something so horrible happen to her? It's all thanks to her care that you don't faint anymore when looking at the moon."           "Good things happen to good people, I'm sure she'll be fine."           "Sigh, you get some rest too Xu'er."           "Ya, I'll go to sleep after washing the dishes."           Huang Ji had already returned home. His grandfather became extremely anxious upon hearing about Dr. Liang's kidnapping. He couldn't fathom why she'd been kidnapped and at the same time was very concerned for her well being. But no matter how much he cared there was nothing he could do, the cops would take care of everything. The old man could only pray for Dr. Liang's safe return.           Huang Ji helped wash his grandfather's feet and helped him to bed. He then went to the kitchen to take care of the dishe

The Omniscient - Chapter 2: A Surprisingly Blunt Letter

"Huh? Who saw what?" Wang Meng was confused.           Huang Ji didn't give him a straightforward answer. Pausing for a moment, he pointed at the old tree by the road saying, "This morning when I was walking this way I saw Li Fan from far away playing behind that tree. If Dr. Liang went out, he should have seen."           Wang Meng asked in astonishment, "Why didn't you mention such an important piece of information earlier?"           Huang Ji answered blankly, "Sorry, I've got a slow reaction. I just thought of it.."           "Uh…" Wang Meng was speechless, this was after all a kid with an intellectual disability.           Right when he was about to go question Li Fan, the village chief had also walked out earlier and overheard Huang Ji's words. Puzzled, he asked, "You're talking about Lil' Li's son?"           Huang Ji nodded his head.           The village chief sighed, "I talked to thei
